There’s a bug in my bucket… dear liza, dear liza

Since the temperature went over 80 degrees… my laundry soaking bucket has been lily’s favorite plaything.  We sing ‘there’s a hole in my bucket'… and give all the plants a drink.

Here’s what happened while I was cooking dinner and Jeff took over bucket supervision.

Just to provide mommy subtitles for toddler talk:

cup… lily’s looking for the cup… hole in my bucket (trying to sing the song) … what doing Lily… mumble mumble… swimming… Lily’s swimming

She’s quite a character!

Lily has requested that this video from Suzanne’s blog be played thousands of times.  I’ve always kept a mental deadline that Lily needed to be able to count to ten by the time she was 20 months old like Luke.   Don’t worry… I’m not forcing them to be in competition at all.

I’ve known that she could do it for a while… but we could never capture video evidence.  Until now, that is:

She’ll be 20 months tomorrow.

I’ll also share this one… which started as trying to catch her singing  ‘I have decided to follow Jesus’ and ‘Zaccheus’  and turned into a phoneme showcase using Jeff’s 2009 Baseball Prospectus.

I love all the videos! My favorite part of the bucket one is when she sings "hole." I love the other two videos as well. Lily is a little genius!

Shauna,
You and Jeff are doing such a great job with Lily! I am so very proud of you both! Trust me, it is all so very worth it! I treasure my boys above all gifts the LORD has given me on this earth! Love you all, Becky
