went about how I imagined it would when I first signed her up for this 2 day a week, 3 hour ‘mother’s day out’ program.
Despite all that we did to get her excited, she was hysterical when we left. While the other kids whimpered quietly, she was screaming, “NO! I NOT GO TO SCHOOL!”
We pulled up a little early and got to see her going inside from the playground, holding her sippy cup and the hand of another little girl. It warmed our hearts.
Then we walked inside, only to hear her shrieking in her classroom and see the teacher make an exasperated face at the TA about her. Upon her dismissal, we were informed that she cried pretty much the whole time…. except for recess.
Hope it gets better soon.
I think I’m going to need to send small gifts for the teachers every day, so they will like her.
At least she looked real cute in her apple backpack…. before the puffy red eyes.

She is beautiful! It'll get easier. Was it hard on you?!
She looks adorable!! I know it will get better. I don't think the teacher should be exasperated. Surely Lily isn't the first to cry the entire first day of preschool. I hope Thursday goes at least a little better. That is precious that she was holding another little girl's hand.
I can totally hear her screaming, "No! I not go to school!" She is such a character.
I hope it gets better for her. Poor B-Bug! It is so awful to leave a screaming child. She sure did look pretty on her first day.
Give her hugs and kisses.

Don't worry too much about the teachers- it's part of the job. Lily will adjust and they'll love her no matter what!!
So cute! I am dropping Micah off for MDO for the first time tomorrow and I am nervous about it.
I agree with Chelsea, don't worry about the teachers. They are totally used to it and once Lily gets used to going, they will get to know her adorable personality and love her.
her teachers love her already!! hang in there!
