and stepping off the airplane… I thought we’d made a wrong turn and landed in Africa. That was nothing compared to walking out to the cheap parking lot holding Lily and some bags… it was like walking around in a kiln. I thought my skin was going to melt off. After the weather bug on the computer today said 107… we went for a refreshing swim in the pool that has become a hot tub since we left.
Anyway…
we had such a great little vacation. It is TRULY a vacation because Lily is SO constantly entertained.
She LOVES her big cousins…
especially Grace.
Plus, when she wants something she knows she’s better off asking ‘MAOW’ … who will give her ANYTHING. (even a big finger full of icing before everyone else shows up)
Lily got to see lots of baseball games, eat lots of suckers, have an early Barney themed birthday party, come home with her very own Barney and Baby Bop and some cute new clothes, sing Happy Birthday to No-No about a thousand times, and even got to go on rides at the Mall of America. Here is Lily getting to wear her favorite green sweater in the summer and trying to smell my favorite flower (by blowing OUT through her nose)… wish peonies could grow in my yard.
Lily and Dad posed by a giant moose in the Minneapolis airport.
We can’t wait to be back in August for a LONGER visit with Jeff’s friends and family.

Looks like you had a GREAT time, but I'm glad you're back! :)
Looks like it was so fun. I bet Lily LOVED her Barney b-day party. That picture of Lily and Isaac sitting in the chair together is ADORABLE. And I'm so glad she has one girl cousin. Lily and Grace will have lots of fun together through the years.
We had so much fun. We can't wait until August! Lily's 4 cousins (her aunt and uncle too) absolutely adore her!
Love you,
Jenni
