The wildlife around here...

is getting out of hand.  With the discovery of snake (#3) in a sprinkler system hole, unearthing one of many giant toads while transplanting a flower in the flowerbed and  almost discounting an old banana peel hanging on the garage  only to realize it was a BAT.... I don't know if I'm cut out for life outside the city.  Jeff, however, is enjoying the frequent use of his bb gun.

One might think I'd be scared to let my baby out with such creatures lurking about... but outside is the only place she wants to be... especially with this new birthday present from Mamma and Papa.

Oh my gosh, a BAT??!!?? Gross. I don't know if I could handle all that stuff too. I guess Lily will learn to accept all of God's creatures. You might need to learn how to use the BB gun for when Jeff is out of town. :) Can't wait for Luke to play on Lily's new playscape with her.

A bat hanging out on your garage door is bizarre. I am glad Jeff disposed of it. We have a large Texas lizard that hangs out on our top deck. Maybe Jeff could stop by and have some fun. Lily is precious and I know she will have loads of fun with the new yard toy. Nana

Girl! I feel your pain. I'm just not into the creatures. At least with Lily, there's hope that she won't pick up the snake & bring it into the house. I'm fearful that Brody will be all into the creatures that lurk around these parts and bring them into the house. I feel your pain! That's crazy about the bat.

You should put the bat in a glass jar. It will eventually turn into water. Cloudy, black water, but liquid nonetheless. At least that's what ours did years ago when we caught it and forgot about it for several weeks.

Yes!!! Jeff has finally found his comfort zone in small town Texas. That is great:) Of all the critters we've had, we've yet to have a bat! But I've got a pesky armadillo I'll be happy to give ya. Lily is going to have a leg up in science class over the other kiddos that grew up "in town":)

i feel you! our new house has these insanely large lizards that hang around. they are the size of a cat (i may be exaggerating a bit) and stare me down when i'm walking to my car. oh, we've also had a snake and deer! crazy!
