My latest hobby…

besides planning Lily’s 2nd birthday party…

is making t-shirts. I can’t make myself stop until the entire package of iron-on transfer sheets are gone.

With some help from Garanimals $3 t-shirts, Google Images, Photoshop Elements 7, and free font sites…

I’ve made an Obama shirt for Luke, a Molly Ringwald shirt for Lily, and an Audrey Hepburn shirt for Gwynn. (I won’t post pictures as they are direct rip-offs of an overpriced kiddie t-shirt site)

Before Luke left for Disney World, I had to make him a shirt  to express where his true passion lies…

sidenote:  The Island of Sodor is where Thomas and Friends takes place.  Luke is just a bit of a Thomas fanatic.

Since kids shirts don’t take up the whole sheet… I went ahead and made one for Lily too.

sidenote: Jeff thinks this is the best t-shirt I’ve made yet. I wonder if it could have something to do with the fact that Lily shouts out ‘WIN TWINS’ when she wears it?

They look just adorable in their homemade tees… would have been nice if I could have taken at least one un-blurry picture this day!

I’ve also made this one for Baby Birch… but really for my cousin Ron, the bike snob.  As a child, he removed his kickstand and other safety and convenience mechanisms for the sake of cool!  No wonder I had to wait at the Austin bike shop while they specially installed a kickstand on my bike… (my bike that was sold deceptively  in the ‘comfort’ section…  I could teach them a thing or two about comfort.)  Needless to say, cousin Ron has probably never set foot in the comfort section.

kickstand copy I’m just waiting to find a solid color onesie that doesn’t already say ‘cutie-pie’ or ‘daddy’s lil’ firecracker’ or something like that.

you are a genius... why did I not think of this myself? I was just about to pay $35 for a silly tee for Micah. Sad part is that i have a pack of those iron on things for my printer and haven't opened it.

you are a genius--I agree with Ally. I L-O-V-E Lukie's Sodor t-shirt and I cannot wait for him to wear it at DW and all around town. It's a little inside joke with all the other Thomas fanatics.

I love iron ons! For Ally's bachelorette party a few years ago, I printed the invitation on iron on sheets and put them on little pairs of pink panties (pretty sure they were from the little girls department). They were a huge hit!

can you make Drew and Nate the Twins shirts. Nate is size 3T and Drew is a size 12 months. They are awesome! I will pay you for them.
